| | 1. | | Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
Customer Review:
The sound of this album is just incredible! I don't know how anyone can actually believe that over 50 years ago this album was recorded. This album was produced incredibly well to say the least. Such a great line-up and easily my favorite Miles Davis era. This album was years ahead of it's time.

| | 2. | | Esperanza by Esperanza Spalding
Customer Review:
There's no way anyone who catches Esperanza in performance can complain about not getting their money's worth. She's virtually singing during the greater part of her lengthy sets while at the same time busting loose the strings with her strong and resonant tones on acoustic bass. Regrettably, the... more info

| | 4. | | A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Customer Review:
There's always some lame so-called music "critic", so-called "blogger" or whatever that thinks he or she has the credentials to trash someone's musical talents. Well, there are a few of those "haters" who reviewed this masterpiece from Coltrane. Jazz has always been experimental. Miles, Monk, Byrd... more info

| | 7. | | Koln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Customer Review:
I have been listening to Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert for almost 30 years now and it has never failed to lift my spirits in a way that no other piece of music except Mozart's masses can. Jarrett is exceptional and certainly does not belong in the Windham Hill "feel good' CD category but rather in... more info

| | 9. | | Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Customer Review:
About a month ago the tune "Watermelon Man" popped in my head. I didn't recognize the title, however. Thankfully my wife's aunt was there as I hummed the tune (she's about 20 years older than me; I was born in 1970). She identified it and told me it was from Herbie Hancock's "Head Hunters." I... more info
